Emma turned 9 months in January and she is as active as ever!! She definitely has a stubborn streak in her and she is very persistent in trying to get what she wants. Of course, she's into everything...and just yesterday learned the magic that happens when you spin the roll of toilet paper :) She's eating more and more of Mommy and Daddy's foods and enjoys most of them. It is fun watching how much she is learning everyday.
Just last week Emma and I were able to take a trip down to Sandy to see my best friend Jen and her little girl, Maddie. It was fun watching Emma and Maddie together. We sat them by one another on the piano bench to let them pound on the keys and Emma reached over and put both of her arms around Maddie. Then she proceeded to clap her hands so she was hitting Maddie's belly and back. Maddie wasn't so sure about that, and I don't blame her! I wish I could have gotten a video of it. I just have a few pictures we snapped right before we left, and they're the best we could do with two active little girls!

All She Wanted For Christmas Were Her Two Front Teeth...
A few days before Christmas we noticed Emma's two bottom teeth were visible just beneath her gums. One popped through a day or two after Christmas and the other one right after New Year's. So, she didn't quite get them for Christmas, but it was pretty close! :)

The Holidays
The holidays came and went so quickly, as they always seem to do. My favorite part of the holidays is being able to spend more time with our loved ones. It's always a little sad when it's all over and we have to get back to "real life". Here's some pictures showing some of the fun we had throughout December. Emma had a big month... learned how to crawl, move along the furniture, and got her first tooth!
Waiting outside the Red Iguana for dinner.
Emma would spend forever standing with her bouncer or car seat trying to figure out how to get inside and just entertaining herself.
Unwrapping presents at Grandma Miller's
I just think Emma's face is hilarious! Plus it shows off her ability to curl her tongue :)

7 Steps To Take Down The Grinch
Emma will demonstrate in 7 easy steps how to take down The Grinch this Christmas season. If pictures are not enough to learn these basic skills, please refer to the video which puts the skills into action. We hope this is helpful in removing the "Grinches" in your life this holiday season!
Step 1: It is important to act coy. You do not want The Grinch to suspect the impending attack.
Step 2: You've got to get yourself pumped!
Step 3: Get you game face on.
Step 4: Grab The Grinch by both hands.
Step 5: A little smack talk never hurt!
Step 6: Show The Grinch who's boss.
Step 7: Go in for the kill.
When all 7 steps are complete, it is important to take some time to relax "Christmas Style".
(Sorry, I do not know how to turn the video so it's the right way.)

What A Mess
When daddy feeds me he doesn't care if I get a little messy! I sure don't mind! Life is more fun that way :)

7 months
Our little girl is growing up so quickly! She's 7 months and loving life! She is loving eating her baby food, blowing raspberries, saying "dadadada", and sliming mom and dad. We measured her a couple of days ago and she is 27 inches long. Last week she even pulled herself up to standing in her crib! It's so fun seeing all of the things she's learning!
This is how I found her sleeping a few days ago.

Just Can't Get Enough
It's Fall and I love this time of year! It always seems like it goes by too quickly though. However, what I just can't get enough of is our little Emma! I'm loving this stage she's in right now! Her rapid growth and learning is making me a little sad though...my baby is getting too big too fast.
We've kept busy taking rides to look at the beautiful leaves, going to football games, and spending time with family. Dustin's parents and sister visited the valley last week and we had a good time with them. Dustin's dad came to go elk hunting with Dustin. Emma was able to spend lots of time with her two little cousins and she loved it! I think the 3 of them will get into lots of mischief some day!
